Paul-André Savoie, President & CEO

Paul-André is a seasoned entrepreneur, leader and businessperson. He has founded, bought and sold nearly a dozen companies in the past 20 years.

Of particular relevance to Baseline Telematics are the companies Boomerang, which successfully installed over 200,000 tracking devices in vehicles across Canada in 10 years, serving over 30 partner insurance companies. As well, Datacom Wireless which launched a next-generation tracking system based on GPS called Mobilus for theft recovery, and Mobicom for commercial fleet management applications. Finally, Guardian which has equipped tens of thousands of vehicles with its proprietary DNA1 anti-theft parts etching system.

Several companies founded by M. Savoie have been listed on the TSX, and subsequently been acquired by larger companies, leading to long term success for all stakeholders.

M. Savoie has been involved in several non-profit organisations throughout the years such as St-John’s Ambulance, Portage and La Fondation du Maire de Montréal pour la Jeunesse. He has been an administrator on several boards of directors such as the Quebec Pension Fund (Régie des Rentes du Québec), Fonds FTQ Régional de Laval. M. Savoie has been awarded numerous recognitions such as Canada’s Top 40 under 40 at only 29, Entrepreneur of the year at the Laval Chamber of Commerce, Entrepreneur of the year finalist by Ernst & Young, and has been awarded the grade of Officer of the Venerable order of St-John.

Christian Labonté, MCS, B.Sc.A., CTO

Christian Labonté earned a Bachelor in Applied Science, Computer Science from Université Laval and a Masters in Computer Science from Dalhousie University where he led an advanced research project titled “Secure Multicasting on Active Virtual Private Networks”. He presented the outcome of his research at two international conferences and was published in two IEEE publications. Christian possesses more than 14 years of experience in software development; most of them acquired in the R&D arms of Nortel Networks and Ericsson where he learned how to bring projects from innovation to robust deployments meeting the rigorous requirements of telecom carriers.

Christian joined Operasoft and Baseline Telematics two years ago and has been coordinating the implementation of the Mobiliz project from its initial prototype to a successful live deployment and evolution using an Agile methodology. His strong technical background coupled with his great communication and leadership skills allow him to properly align the operational team with the actual needs of our clients to achieve the maximum efficiency.


Lyne Potvin, CFO

Having been instrumental in the launches of both Operasoft in 2003 and Baseline Telematics, in 2006, Lyne has been a senior executive and provided significant contribution to these two organizations from the very start. Having pursued her studies at the UQAM University, Lyne brings 15 years’ experience of Finance and Business Administration and is responsible for the Growth and Profitability of both Baseline and Operasoft as well as plays an active role in the development of the company’s policies and procedures.

Lyne’s strategic expertise and outstanding communication skills makes her a great leader that engages the team members towards achieving the business goals. Her abilities to prioritize ideas and find the right solutions that best support the overall strategy makes her a key player in the success of the organization.

Lyne has obtained her commercial helicopter pilot’s license.
